1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“you”) and us and govern your access to and use of the Gammon Rivals mobile application, together with our related websites, services, features, content, Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, and any updates to them (collectively, the “App”).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference (Section 17). If you do not agree, do not download, access, or use the App.
Please also read Section 6 (No Real-Money Gambling) and Section 7 (AI Opponents, Matchmaking & Game Outcomes) carefully, as they describe important characteristics of how the App works.
2. Definitions
- “App” has the meaning given in Section 1.
- “AI Opponent” means a computer-controlled opponent operated by the App's systems, as described in Section 7.
- “Virtual Currency” means the in-App balances we make available, currently Coins and Gems, used solely within the App.
- “Virtual Items” means non-currency digital content within the App, including board themes, cosmetics, boosters, passes, and similar items.
- “In-App Purchase” means a purchase of Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, subscriptions, or other digital content made through the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- “Store” means the Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable.
- “Rewards” means bonuses, prizes, wheel outcomes, mission and challenge payouts, and similar in-App benefits, in each case denominated in Virtual Currency or Virtual Items.
3. The App
Gammon Rivals is a mobile backgammon game in which you can play backgammon matches against other players or AI Opponents, take part in game features, earn Rewards, unlock boards and other Virtual Items, and use Virtual Currency.
The App is provided for entertainment purposes only.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the App.
By using the App you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the App under the laws of your jurisdiction.
We may restrict or condition access to the App, or to particular features, purchases, or competitions, based on age, location, Store rules, legal requirements, risk, or our operational policies.
5. Accounts
Some features require an account, which may be a guest/device account or an account created through a third-party or platform login (such as Google sign-in).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and device, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share, sell, rent, transfer, or grant any other person access to your account.
We are not responsible for any loss arising from forgotten credentials, deleted or reset accounts, device changes, account sharing, or third-party platform restrictions. We may suspend, restrict, reset, or terminate accounts in accordance with Section 20.
6. No Real-Money Gambling
Gammon Rivals is a game of mixed skill and chance played with Virtual Currency and Virtual Items for entertainment. The App does not offer real-money gambling, and Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, and Rewards are not a form of betting or wagering for money or anything of monetary value.
Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, and Rewards:
- have no cash or monetary value;
- cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or converted into real money or any item of real-world value;
- cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, transferred, sold, or traded outside the App; and
- do not constitute deposits, winnings, financial instruments, securities, or stored value.
Paying an entry amount in Virtual Currency to take part in a game, and any Virtual Currency or Virtual Items received as a result, are part of the in-App entertainment experience only. Winning any match, mission, challenge, bonus, wheel spin, or other feature does not entitle you to money, real-world prizes, or anything of monetary value, except where we expressly state otherwise in separate official promotional terms.
You agree not to use the App for gambling, betting, wagering, money games, unauthorized contests, or any activity involving real-world monetary value.
7. AI Opponents, Matchmaking & Game Outcomes
To provide a smooth and timely experience, the App's matchmaking will attempt to pair you with another human player. When a suitable human opponent is not available, your match may instead be played against an AI Opponent. AI Opponents may be presented within the App in the same manner as human opponents and may not be separately identified during play.
We design, operate, and may adjust at any time, in our discretion, the App's matchmaking logic, AI Opponent behaviour and difficulty, Reward probabilities and payout rates, entry amounts, and prize amounts, including for reasons of game balance, fairness, player experience, economic sustainability, security, or legal compliance. The outcome of any match, and the result of any randomized Reward, is determined by the App's systems.
Because all entry amounts, prizes, and Rewards are denominated in Virtual Currency and Virtual Items with no cash value (Section 6), no outcome — whether against a human or an AI Opponent — entitles you to money or anything of real-world value.
8. Virtual Currency and Virtual Items
The App includes Virtual Currency (currently Coins and Gems) and Virtual Items (such as board themes, cosmetics, boosters, and passes).
Virtual Currency and Virtual Items are licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-commercial entertainment use within the App only. You do not own them, and you have no proprietary right, title, or interest in them.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may manage, modify, remove, limit, rebalance, increase, decrease, expire, or reset Virtual Currency and Virtual Items where reasonably necessary for game balance, security, abuse prevention, technical reasons, legal compliance, or Store requirements.
Virtual Currency and Virtual Items may not be transferred between users unless we expressly provide an official in-App feature for that purpose. Consistent with Google Play policy, Virtual Currency may be used only within the App for which it was obtained.
9. Purchases and Payments
The App may offer In-App Purchases, including Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, subscriptions, passes, bundles, and other digital content.
All In-App Purchases are processed by the applicable Store (Apple for the Apple App Store; Google for Google Play). We do not receive or process your Store payment details. Prices, taxes, currency conversion, available payment methods, billing, purchase confirmation, and related matters are handled in accordance with the applicable Store's terms and policies. Where required by the Store, digital goods and Virtual Currency must be purchased using the Store's billing system.
10. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law or Store policy, In-App Purchases of Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, subscriptions, and other digital content are final and non-refundable once delivered or consumed.
Refund requests must be submitted to, and are handled by, the applicable Store (Apple or Google) in accordance with its refund process. If a refund, chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute occurs, we may, to the extent permitted by law, remove or reverse the related Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, Rewards, subscription access, benefits, or account progress.
11. Subscriptions, Passes, and Recurring Features
The App may offer subscriptions, monthly or season passes, VIP access, or other recurring features. Their price, billing frequency, renewal, trial, and cancellation terms will be presented before purchase through the applicable Store.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You are responsible for cancelling through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the Store or applicable law provides otherwise.
12. Rewards, Bonuses, Missions, and Promotions
The App may include daily and hourly bonuses, missions, challenges, bonus wheels, leaderboards, achievements, events, and promotional Rewards. Some features award random Rewards determined by the App's systems.
All Rewards are provided for in-App entertainment use only, are denominated in Virtual Currency or Virtual Items, and have no real-world monetary value. We may change Reward amounts, odds, availability, timing, requirements, eligibility, and mechanics at any time for game-balancing, technical, commercial, legal, or security reasons.
13. Online Matches and Match Results
The App may include online matches against other players or AI Opponents, as well as rankings, ratings, and timed gameplay.
You are responsible for your internet connection and device performance. Match results may be affected by connection issues, device problems, server delays, bugs, disconnections, app updates, maintenance, or other technical issues. We may, in our discretion and to the extent permitted by law, determine match outcomes, the treatment of any entry amount, replays, or compensation where technical failures occur, and we may cancel, reverse, adjust, or invalidate matches or Rewards where we detect cheating, abuse, error, exploitation, suspicious activity, or system malfunction.
14. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate matches, outcomes, or systems;
- use bots, scripts, automation, emulators, hacks, mods, or reverse-engineered or modified clients;
- abuse matchmaking, leaderboards, Rewards, missions, bonuses, advertising, purchases, or promotions;
- create or use multiple accounts to exploit Rewards or systems;
- harass, threaten, abuse, defraud, impersonate, or harm other users;
- upload or transmit content that is offensive, illegal, infringing, hateful, sexual, or otherwise harmful;
- attempt to access accounts, servers, code, databases, or systems without authorization, or interfere with the security or integrity of the App;
- resell, trade, transfer, or monetize Virtual Currency or Virtual Items outside the App; or
- use the App for gambling, betting, wagering, or real-money games.
Violation of this Section may result in loss of Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, or progress, suspension or termination of your account, device-level restrictions, or other enforcement action, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Updates and Changes to the App
We may update, modify, suspend, discontinue, rebalance, or remove any part of the App at any time, including gameplay, board themes, Virtual Currency, pricing, Rewards, missions, levels, matchmaking, advertising, availability, or supported devices. Some updates may be required to continue using the App.
16. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The App may display advertising and may use third-party services for purposes such as analytics, attribution, crash reporting, authentication, cloud hosting, advertising, payment processing, and customer support. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party content, websites, services, offers, advertisements, or actions. Your use of the App is also subject to our Privacy Policy (Section 17).
17. Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, sharing, and protection of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please review it before using the App.

18. Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logos, artwork, boards, checkers, dice, animations, code, sounds, music, design, user interface, gameplay systems, text, characters, icons, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, licence, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, create derivative works from, or otherwise commercially exploit any part of the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law that cannot be excluded.
19. User Content
If the App allows you to submit usernames, profile images, messages, chat, feedback, support requests, or other content (“User Content”), you are responsible for it and you represent that you have the necessary rights to submit it.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, display, moderate, adapt, remove, and process your User Content for the purposes of operating, improving, securing, and promoting the App. We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms, Store rules, applicable law, or community standards.
20. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, reset, or terminate your access to the App, in whole or in part, if: (a) you violate these Terms; (b) you cheat, exploit, abuse, or manipulate the App; (c) your conduct harms other users, us, or our systems; (d) it is required by law, Store rules, or security considerations; (e) your account is inactive for an extended period; or (f) we discontinue the App or a particular feature.
On termination for breach of these Terms, you may lose access to Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, progress, purchases, rankings, and Rewards, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law. You may stop using the App and delete it at any time.
21. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we make no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device, or that you will win matches, earn Rewards, reach any level, unlock any item, or achieve any ranking.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights).
22. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, Virtual Currency, Virtual Items, progress, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us (or via the Stores for the App) in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
23. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, and our and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, licensors, and service providers, from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the App; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; (d) your cheating, fraud, abuse, or unauthorized conduct; or (e) your User Content.
24. Apple App Store Terms
This Section applies if you obtain the App from the Apple App Store. These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”), under which the App is licensed, not sold, to you, except where we provide a valid custom EULA. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App, and Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product-liability, legal/regulatory, or intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
25. Google Play Terms
This Section applies if you obtain the App from Google Play. Your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and applicable Google policies. Google may handle purchase, billing, refund, and subscription matters for Google Play purchases. You agree that Virtual Currency and digital goods obtained through Google Play are for use only within the App and cannot be redeemed for money or anything of real-world value.
26. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the App, the Store listing, our website, email, or another reasonable method, and will update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
27. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence that cannot be limited by these Terms, and nothing in these Terms affects those rights.
28. Dispute Resolution
Before bringing any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at support@gammonrivals.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Israel, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in, or requires application of the law of, your country of residence.
29. General
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
- Entire Agreement. These Terms and the documents referenced in them (including the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements on that subject.
- No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or as otherwise permitted by law.
- Force Majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, outages, network or Store failures, or governmental actions.
- Notices. We may provide notices to you through the App, the Store, email, or our website. You may contact us as set out in Section 30.
