No gambling, in either direction
Coins and Gems are virtual currency with no cash value. Gammon Rivals is not a gambling app: no real-money stakes, no prizes, no cash-out.
- You never stake real money on a match.
- You never win real money, goods, or anything redeemable outside the app.
- Coins and Gems cannot be sold, traded outside the app, or converted to cash.
- A balance of zero is never a loss of money — free Coins come back through the hourly bonus, daily missions, and rewards.

The app is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly hold data from children. If you believe a child is using an account, write to [email protected] and we will remove it.
Controlling what you spend
Optional purchases exist and they are all handled by the App Store or Google Play, which means the controls you already trust apply:
- iPhone and iPad — Settings › Screen Time › Content & Privacy Restrictions › iTunes & App Store Purchases, to require a password or block in-app purchases entirely.
- Android — Google Play › Settings › Authentication › Require authentication for purchases, and Family settings for a shared device.
You never have to buy anything. Every board, tier, and reward in the game is reachable by playing.
Keeping it fun
Some honest advice from people who play a lot of backgammon:
- Play for the match, not to win back a bad session. Variance in backgammon is large and short runs prove nothing.
- If you find yourself playing to chase a balance rather than because you want a game, stop for the day. Nothing in the app expires.
- Use your phone's own screen-time limits if sessions run longer than you intended.
If gambling is a problem for you
Gammon Rivals involves no real-money betting, but games with dice and chips can still be uncomfortable for someone in recovery. If that is you, the honest advice is to skip this app. For help, contact a national gambling support service in your country — many run free, confidential helplines and chat services.
Taking a break, or leaving
You can uninstall at any time and your account waits for you. If you want it gone for good, Delete Your Account explains how, and deletion is permanent.
